more tilt shift action

Here are a few of the last photos I took with the PC lens before I had to send it back. I think I'll be revisiting that lens shortly. The 3 shots are from inside of the Bristol ESPN campus.

v day

Happy valentine's day to everyone! Especially to my awesome, beautiful wife and my handsome son. I am truly blessed to have such a healthy, cute family! Here are a few images from this morning. Ant is all geared up for school with his vday shirt and vday cards for his friends.

tilt shift

or as nikon calls in, PC(perspective control). I rented the 45mm pc lens. I think I'm in love! I only had a few minutes to play around with it. I have to read up on how to use it a little more. Hopefully I can get out more tomorrow and play around with it. I plan on using it a little on saturday's engagement shoot. can't wait! Check out some of the images i captured today. nothing special.

college hoops

College basketball season is in full swing so i put together a little montage of some games i shot last year and at the beginning of this year. They are mainly from last years big east tournament at Madison Square garden and the Jimmy V Classic also at MSG. I think I'll be heading back this year to shoot some more action. While wedding photography is my main focus and passion, i love to dabble in sports photography when i get the opportunity. Being a basketball fanatic and growing up playing ball, the intensity of shooting a big game is unreal. You always want to get the great action shot, but what I love to shoot the most is the "reaction" shot. What's going to happen after the game winning shot is made or how is someone going to react after getting fouled hard. Its a tough job and I have great respect for those who shoot sports for a living. I put my little touch on the photos by giving them a film look in post-processing. I love the graininess of film and love mixing it into my work when I can.

Enjoy a look back at some college hoop action...and while we're on the subject of sports you have to check out a good buddy of mine and what he's up too. He's rising quickly in the photography game and does some incredible things with lighting. his portrait work in insane. Rob Hammer Photography check it!
