Yaw Studio Shoot

Last week I broke out the roll of seamless white paper a few small strobes and went to work. Yaw needed some headshots/promo shots for an album he'll be putting out.

Most of the shots were done with 3 lights. I had 2 lights pointed at the white background and a light in a softbox pointed on Yaw. The background lights were reflecting off of the paper and giving me a little "wrap" light which I kind of liked. This was all set up in my small basement but if I wanted to avoid this wrap light I would have to pull the subject further away from the background. I definitely want to do some more shoots like this so if you're looking for promo/headshots contact me and we can set something up.

Filmy

I've been meaning to do this for a while but finally got my act together and shot a roll of black & white film. First time in maybe 6 or 7 years!! I went all the way back to the basics with my FULLY manual FM 10 Nikon. It was my first "good" camera that my parents bought for me to use in my basic photography college course. Thanks Mom & Dad!!
So I recently replaced the light meter battery, bought a roll of b&w film and started shooting.
Here's what I came up with. These are all straight from the camera with very minor tone tweaks.
