For the past 4 years I've had the opportunity to go down to Madison Square Garden and photograph, in my opinion, the best college basketball conference tournament in the country. The Big East. I was going back and forth if I was going to shoot it this year, but once I realized this would be the last real Big East tournament it was a no-brainer. And I'm so happy I did. Wedding photography is my main focus and it's what I really love to shoot, but sports photography isn't far behind. Check out the last Big East Tournament as we know it, through my lens.
Thursday I'm heading out to NYC for 3 days of shooting the Big East Tournament. This will be my 4th year in a row and probably last seeing that the Big East will be breaking apart. One of the best college basketball tourneys in the country if not the best. Sad to see it go but I'm excited to be able to capture finale. Click the links to check out the past 3 years. 2010
Some of you know that I work part time over at ESPN and have had the opportunity to photograph some pretty cool sporting events - Big East Tourney, Yankees games, NY Giants game etc but last week I had a pretty special 1. I was assigned to drive over to Newtown CT for a pretty cool story. I was a little nervous going in but it was a great day and seeing happy smiling kids in Newtown was pretty special for me. With the announcement of Calhoun's retirement today I took a look back and found a few photos of Jim I took over the last 3 years. 1 of the best college coaches of all time.
This was the 3rd year in a row I got the chance to cover the Big East Tournament for ESPN.com. It wasn't was crazy as last year with Uconn and Kemba putting on a show but there was still some excitement in MSG. Take a look at some of my favorites from the 3 days of tourney play.
